About India R.E.

India has started on an ambitious journey of an energy transition with large scale renewable energy adoption as reflected by the 500 GW non-fossil target by 2030. This RE data portal is our modest effort to understand the various facets of this journey through multiple visualisations. Presently, this portal provides a comparative analysis of the RPO framework viz. regulations, targets and compliance, further broken down across DISCOMs, years, and RPO types.

Prominent features

  • Information available in public domain for research and analysis
  • Detailed summaries of RPO regulations of all states
  • Ability to compare specific sections of the RPO regulations across states.
  • Ability to download all state RPO regulation documents and summaries
  • Comprehensive interactive visualizations
  • Easy to download and share visualizations
  • Comparative analysis of targets vs actual RPO compliance
  • All states and UTs covered
  • Regulations and data compiled since FY 2011-12 (wherever available in the public domain, continuous effort exercise)
